Electricity Pole Falls Into Street

SIGNS of brown rot had previously been found in a power pole which fell onto a car and dragged live wires into a New Lambton street on Christmas night. The pole, which fell in Addison Street, was found to have rotted through at the base. Electricity was restored to all but 200 New Lambton houses within an hour of the incident.
